Transforming Organizational Paradigms for Inclusive and Diverse Clinical Trial Research

Statement of Need/Program Overview

Key questions to consider regarding paradigms and diverse clinical trials will be presented.  What is diversity in clinical trial research and why is it important? How can diversity goals be operationalized?  This activity will provide insights on how to find, enroll, and retain diverse patients.

Target Audience

This activity is intended for medical professionals who have a clinical interest related to disparities and diversity in the context of clinical trial research.

Educational Objectives

After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:  

  • Explain disparities in the context of clinical trial research.
  • Explain diversity in the context of clinical trial research.
  • Describe frameworks for understanding clinical trial diversification.
  • Provide examples of successful strategies to increase diversity in clinical trial research in cancer.

In order to receive credit, participants must complete all of the course lessons. Participants must also score at least a 70% on each chapter quiz. Upon completion of lessons and quizzes, you must also complete the evaluation form. Your certificate will be available to download upon completion of the evaluation.
