![]() | Activity TitleThe ADVENT-HF TrialStatement of Need/Program OverviewThis educational activity is designed to review, in detail, the results of the ADVENT-HF randomized clinical trial. The effects of a particular type of adaptive servo-ventilation, triggered by changes in peak-flow (ASVPF), on obstructive and central sleep apnea (OSA and CSA, respectively) in patients with heart failure and reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) will be presented. The focus will be on the effects of ASVPF reduced on cardiovascular morbidity as well as on sleep structure and health-related quality of life. The implications of these findings for clinical management of both OSA and CSA in patients with HFrEF will be reviewed.
